D-Day was planned by Winston Churchill in 1943 with his famous speeches “We shall fight on the beaches we shall fight on the landing grounds we shall fight in the fields and in the streets we shall fight in the hills we shall never surrender” that’s was his famous speech to give his people moral. But some people don’t have confident cause if Germany can invade France that is 3 times bigger than Britain that mean that German don’t have any problem invading Britain. 

When the Japanese attacked pearl harbor in December 7 1941 the American decided to join the war to support the allies and destroy the Japanese empire. When the allies tried to do the operation but they couldn’t because the weather was not in their favor because the wind and the waves were too strong for the Higgins boat to float on. Finally on June 6 1944 on Omaha beach the allies launch the biggest landing operation that the world have ever seen and it’s called operation Neptune around 1 hundred and seventy thousand landed in the beaches of Normandy France opening the second front for the German. The landing zone was break into 5 landing zone Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword. Omaha was the greatest difficulty the American ever had. The death in Omaha has earned a nickname called bloody Omaha.

Winston Churchill was one said that he wanted to land on the beaches with his fellow soldier but his commander said that he can’t because he is important for his country when they both argue Churchill finally said that he will give out command in his HQ.

I think that the German  could easily win the war if the Japanese didn’t attack pearl harbor. Even Yamato was scared to attack but when he decided to attack he said “i’m afraid that we had woken a giant”.
